Outcomes
Outcomes are the health consequences that an economic evaluation counts and values, from survival and symptoms to quality-adjusted life years. The concepts here describe how those consequences are measured, weighted by people's preferences and, where needed, expressed in money. The choice of outcome measure decides what a cost-effectiveness result means and which treatments can be compared with each other.
