Health Economics Mathematics Ontology (HEMO)

The Health Economics Mathematics Ontology (HEMO) describes the mathematics used across the ontologies of HealthEconomics.wiki. It covers formulas, mathematical functions, computational procedures and their implementations in Excel, R, Python and other languages, and gives every variable a role, a kind of quantity and a unit of measure. The formula catalogue is generated from the Functions and Formulae module of the wiki, with each expression stated in the Mathematical Markup Language (MathML) and OpenMath. HEMO holds no values from evidence and takes real values from the Real Health Economics Ontology (RHEO) and value weights from the Health Economics Axiology Ontology (HEAO). This is an alpha release for review.

BioPortal is the main public library of biomedical ontologies, run by the National Center for Biomedical Ontology at Stanford University. Publishing there means the ontology is held and versioned outside this site, so researchers, data services and software can find it, browse its terms, download it and link their own work to it.
