- Sensitivity to Change
- The capacity of a health outcome measure to register a difference in health status when a real change has occurred in a patient's condition.
- Sleep Quality
- A clinical outcome measure capturing a person's subjective assessment of their sleep, including duration, latency, and disturbances, using a validated questionnaire.
- Study Design
- The overall plan and structure of a research investigation, covering decisions such as randomisation, participant selection, and outcome measurement.
- Symptomatic Outcome
- Any clinical outcome measure focused on the presence, frequency, or severity of disease-related symptoms, unlike survival, biomarker, or functional outcomes.

- Time to Response
- The interval between the start of treatment and the point a patient meets a defined responder threshold on a relevant outcome measure.
- Treatment Success
- A composite outcome measure indicating a treatment achieved a predefined combination of criteria, such as clinical response, tolerability, and continued use.

- Utility-Based Measure
- A health outcome measure whose scores derive from a formal preference elicitation process and can be used directly to weight time for QALYs.
