- A structured early-phase process progressively increasing an investigational treatment's dose across successive small groups to identify the maximum tolerated dose.
- Dose-Limiting Toxicity
- A sufficiently severe adverse event in early-phase trials that prevents further dose escalation, used to help determine the maximum tolerated dose.
