- Working Life Years
- The total years an individual is expected to participate in the paid workforce, used to estimate the economic value of avoiding premature death.

- Years of Life Lost
- A premature mortality measure calculated as the difference between age at death and a reference life expectancy, summed across deaths from a cause.
- Years Of Potential Life
- A measure of premature mortality summing the gap between a reference age and age at death, across all deaths occurring before that age.
